Spring Break Fever

by Sean Meehan
Senior Staff Editor

There is only 2 days left of class before I will be attending my final Spring Break as a college student, and I could not be happier.

The second semester is coming to a close and even though there are heavy gusts and heavy snow, I cannot help to think about the weather that is awaiting me in the Bahamas. Forget the white covered grass. I'm going to white sandy beaches, the clear blue water of Paradise Island to be precise. Some say it is the closest step to paradise.

At times I cannot help but feel a little bit guilty about going on my second tropical vacation in two months while I leave so many others stranded bearing freezing temperatures. To deal with this guilt I will quote my father as saying, "When opportunity knocks you should answer. But always remember to call your mother, because it makes my life SO MUCH EASIER." Sometimes you just forget.

As the last few weeks come to a close for us seniors at Franklin Pierce College we will be loved, talked about, and praised. Then we will be forced to leave Lake View and exchange a few final phone numbers leaving our friends behind. We have seen a lot of changes occur during our four years here, Lake View, and the elimination of the Condo's. The one-way campus and the renovations to the field house.

Personally I feel it is time to move on when you feel like you have been here longer than some of your teachers. However, after Spring Break, when we are counting down to May 13, 2006.  I will be enjoying every minute of it, just like I have the past four years, taking everything in stride.
