INTERNATIONAL NEWS NATIONAL NEWS
Troops leaving Iraq - There has been talk that 30,000 troops will leave Iraq by the end of the year. This would put the total number of troops in Iraq under 100,000 for the first time in years. This news seems to come at a good time as President Bush's approval rating is at an all time low and many people continue to question the United State's need in  Iraq. The US government continues to say they Iraqi troops have things under control and this is the first sign that the US is giving control back to the natives of Iraq.

Related Link - More than half of Americans believe the United States erred in sending troops to Iraq, a poll released Tuesday suggested, indicating that recent White House efforts to rally support for the war have not been successful.
9/11 Tapes - Much has been debated on whether or not to give the families of 9/11 access to the tapes on the hijacked planes. Currently a judge has granted permission to the families, but the prosecution has asked the judge to rethink the decision. The prosecution claims that by granting the families access to the tapes it will compromise the rest of the 9/11 investigations. While some feel the families deserve access, others feel the evidence should be handled by the attorneys involved.
