FPC TV-25 Message

This year for FPC-TV 25, I hope to increase the amount of student work aired. By doubling or even tripling the weekly programming produced, my aim is to have 24 hour programming. With the amount of students interested in FPC-TV growing each year, more productions should not be a problem. This year I will make sure that all show ideas are put into planning. We will work are hardest to help those who have little to no production experience. The incoming Freshman class is the future, and we will show them the same dignity and respect that I once received.

While looking to bring in new faces and new shows, we will also continue with the hits. FPC-TV's most popular show, Roommates, will be be making it's triumphant return very soon, also be on the look out for other hit shows such as Chowda, The Boot, and 3 Guys, 3 Cups, and a Coffee Table. Also, tune in every Thursday to see FPC Newscenter 25 live at 7pm.

With Franklin Pierce becoming a University, a lot of things will change around campus. FPC-TV will be no different. We will likely take on a new look that says this is a University TV Station.

A goal that has long been in the books of this station is to bring FPC-TV to the web. Expanding the horizon by going online will allow everyone, not just people on campus, to get a taste of what FPC-TV brings to the table.

Speaking of what FPC-TV brings, I'm going to continue showing movies on the college station. Last year, we began one of our greatest endevours when we signed a contract with Residence Life Cinema. The contract allowed FPC-TV to show 4-6 newly released movies monthly. Movies ranging suchas Batman Begins, War of the Worlds, Cinderella Man, and even The Forty Year Old Virgin have hit the air waves. This coming year will see more movies coming to FPC, which will save students the trouble of driving thirty minutes to the nearest movie theater. And best of all, students will have a say in what films are shown. This will ensure that there is something for everyone.

Dan Desrochers

Station Manager of FPC TV 25

The first meeting of FPC-TV 25 shall be on Thursday, September 7. 7pm in the T.V. studio of the Fitzwater Center.
