Franklin Pierce students intern in Washington D.C. by Matthew Relyea Exchange Staff The Washington Center has become a popular place for various Franklin Pierce students to complete their internship. The Washington Center has been offered to the students at Franklin Pierce for several years. However, not all of the students have taken advantage of the opportunity of partaking in the internship program. Carolyn Tracy, the northeast regional representative for The Washington Center said that "I would tell any student to go for it. Having an Internship there might help a student get a leg up on another student who might be interning else where or not even interning at all." At a meeting last week, only six students attended it even though a campus wide email was sent out about the meeting. Franklin Pierce junior Ryan Milligan, is interning at The Washington Center this semester for the DEA- Drug Enforcement Administration, enjoys his experiences in D.C. "I first off would say do one, but make an attempt to do one at The Washington Center. It is a really great experience and is one that most colleges don’t offer." Professor Frank Cohen is the liaison to The Washington Center for Franklin Pierce. He is the person anyone interested in interning at The Washington center needs to get in contact with him. The Washington Center is located just six blocks away from the White
House. It is associated with over 1,000 colleges and universities across the
country. To find out more information about The Washington Center, go to
