CAB will sponsor Journey concert trip

The Campus Activities Board has planned upcoming events including a trip to see the Journey concert on November 11th.

CAB will sponsor a trip to the Journey concert on Saturday November 11th at the Verizon Wireless Center in Manchester. Only 30 Franklin Pierce students will be allowed to attend due to the limited amount of tickets available.  Transportation will be provided by CAB. Def Leopard will open for Journey.

"We may not have front row seats, but it should be a fun time," said Leah Robichaud, assistant director of Student Services.

Steve Hofstetter is a well-known myspace comedian who will visit campus in the days following the Journey concert. "He's been known as the thinking man's comic and is in the top 50 for myspace comedians and when you think about it, that's not too bad," said Robichaud.

Hofstetter has appeared on "Last Comic Standing," "Ed," and "Law & Order" and is host of"4 Quotes" Sirius radio show. Hofstetter has a knack for taking the everyday item and asking if it’s normal.  It's the usual "what's up with that?" sort of question. He actually doesn’t like the "redneck jokes" of some like Larry the Cable Guy and prefers to stick to a real life subject when it comes to his antics.

Hofsetter's website is the second most visited comedy site, just slipping behind comedian Dane Cook.

Along with these events CAB has already planned events for the month of December, including Christmas themed events.
