The FPC International Club will be hosting its annual International Food Night around the Thanksgiving holiday season.

This event is the most successful and popular event that the International Club holds.

"Any event that involves food generally brings in more students," said International Club Vice President Mahia Valle.

Students are encouraged to make dishes from their own country or cultural background for the event. Any student on campus is invited to attend.

"In past years we have had food from many different countries like India, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Greece, and the Dominican Republic," said Alexander Rivazfar, the International Club President.

The International club recently hosted its "Dia de los Muertos" event on November 1st in the Cheshire Community room the "Day of the Dead" was put on in the Cheshire Community room.  In the Mexican culture the event honors and remembers those who have passed away.  The club decorated homemade sugar skulls as a way to celebrate the holiday.

The intention of the International Club is to inform students and the College community about foreign countries and their culture.  The club also hopes to help international students adapt to campus life more easily through social events.

The upcoming "Posadas" will be the clubs' Christmas event.  This is the Mexican celebration of Christmas.  For this event the Club plans on putting a group together who will be singing Christmas carols in Spanish and in other various languages.

"A lot of what we do is giving back to the campus community," said Valle. "We invite everyone and mostly all our events are free."

The International Food night is generally held in the Pierce Room above the cafeteria, but because of the recent construction on the Campus center the location for this event has to be changed.  Date, time, and place for the event are soon to be announced.
