A-Rod or Jeter, whose to blame?

Remember when Ja Rule was respectable? No, you're right he was never respectable, but when some people thought he was the best rapper out there was when Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter were best pals. From dinners together to being spotted double dating at the clubs, these two lovebirds, I mean friends were inseparable. That all ended when A-Rod began to get jealous of Jeter's rings on his finger, and told Esquire that he was more of a leader than Jeter because he had to bat third and do more for his team to make up for his team’s lack of talent over the years.

Was he serious? To this day I still cannot believe that A-Rod would say something like that about Jeter. No, I am not a Yankees fan, actually I am the complete opposite but I respect Jeter as a player, a leader and of course his game with the ladies off the field. Derek Jeter is the definition of a leader, with his clutch performances in the playoffs and how he gets his teammates to play hard every day. A-Rod is the definition of choke. He has never done anything in the playoffs, and just keeps making excuses, just like Manning used to do (yeah I know I am still not over the Manning subject).

Of course A-Rod would talk about the subject of he and Jeter's relationship, and say it was not as good as it once was. We all knew that Alex, but of course Jeter, the classy guy he is stepped up and told the media "I'm only going to talk about this once," and later explained that he does not have a problem with A-Rod and that they work out and talk to each other just like any other teammate.

Responding to the question of how the fans treat A-Rod, Jeter said, "From Day One I've said I support Alex." "The only thing I'm not going to do is tell the fans what to do. ... I don't think it's my job to tell fans to boo or not to boo."

He is absolutely right. You can't tell the fans what to do, but if anyone could it would be Jeter. The fans would respect Jeter if he said to not criticize A-Rod so much but Jeter knows just like the rest of us that A-Rod does deserve the heckling because he cannot perform in the clutch.

Once again on the subject between A-Rod and Jeter is that Jeter is the classy, respectable guy who just wants to talk baseball while A-Rod is the guy who looks for excuses and other subjects to talk about to draw attention away from his lack luster performance in a Yankee uniform.
