Professor photography to be displayed at Women in Leadership event

     Photography Professor Elsa Voelcker will contribute three photographs to show woman's empowerment, at the “Women in Leadership, the Women We Know” event on March 28 in the Alumni lounge.

     Voelcker said that the three photographs are of “piercing.” All three photographs will be of “strong women” to go along with the event's theme.

     The “Women in Leadership, the Women We Know” event has been coordinated by junior Katherine Porter with help from Professor Donna Decker. Porter said, “The Women in Leadership program hopes that this event will help to promote the idea of female strength on campus; bringing to light all of the many powerful female influences in the lives of students and faculty.”

     Porter has received over half a dozen submissions so far including poetry and photography. The event will be the last celebration of Women’s Month and submissions are being accepted up until March 16.
