Hockey Captain Joe Fields sits down to discuss being a student athlete.

     Q.) What major are you?

     A.) I'm a business management major.

     Q.) Describe being an athlete and a full time student.

     A.) It's not that difficult just tiring sometimes, most of us have been doing it our whole life and are used to it by now.

     Q.) Who is your biggest inspiration on the ice and in the class room?

     A.) My parents, they're supportive and I never want to let them down.

 
     Q.) What is your best memory of being a Franklin Pierce Raven?

     A.) The winter breaks up here with the team.

     Q.) What advice do you have for freshman in school and on the ice?

     A.) In school get to know your teachers and they'll help you out. On the ice just be patient and don't try to force things to happen.

     Q.) How is hockey going to be apart of your life after college?

     A.) Maybe minor professional and I'm sure ill always be involved with ice hockey teams in my community.

     Q.) What plans do you have for after graduation away from hockey?

     A.) I want to make some money through real estate, I recently became a certified real estate appraiser and will probably work for my parents real estate firm at some point.

     Q.) If you could take a penalty shot against one person, who would it be and why?

A.) Martin Brodeur because the [New Jersey] Devils and their fans are brutal.
