The annual New Hampshire College and University Council Job Fair kicked off this Thursday in Manchester

Students from 17 different colleges and universities across New Hampshire, including Franklin Pierce, attended the New Hampshire College & University Council job fair at The Center of New Hampshire, Radisson Hotel in Manchester Thursday.

The NHCUC annually hosts the largest academic-sponsored job fair north of Boston.  This year there were 102 employers on hand.  The event was a general job fair with non-profit, law enforcement, business, and technology companies present.  Students were told to dress appropriately for their majors and to bring their resumes.

Historically, Franklin Pierce students have seen great results at this fair.  Of the students from Franklin Pierce to attend in the past, over one third of them received interviews and/or job offers related to the event.  Franklin Pierce Senior Danielle O'Neill found similar results by attending this year's event.

O'Neill said, "It was a great success because I met with well known companies like Fidelity, North Western Mutual, and Ameriprise, and I was able to set up job interviews on the spot."

Rosemary Nichols, the Director of Career Planning and Placement at Franklin Pierce attended the fair. "I think it's been very strong this year," Nichols said.  "With over 100 employers in diverse fields it seems to be a good sign for what the job market will be like for this year's graduates."
