Behind the scenes with Beth Ellis

One would think that being a veteran bubble worker, it would have been common knowledge for me to know about the Tuckerman Trip that I wrote this week's article on. In actuality, I had no idea about the trip and had never even heard of the Tuckerman Ravine prior to beginning some legwork for this assignment.

I decided to ask Doug Carty if there were any important or interesting events coming up in the Campus Recreation Department. This is when I first heard about the Adventure Rec.'s upcoming trip to what Doug described to me as the steepest and most exhilarating ravine in the East.

As I began my interviews with students who had previously done the trip I found even more exciting information about the ravine. I decided to do some online research on the topic and found that Tuckerman Ravine is world famous. I sat down with Tom and he was so excited about the trip that it even made me (anti-any outdoor sports that involve snow) interested in the trip!
