A total eclipse of the heart...

I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong together

(You know who you are.  You're the ones that matter)

I know that I wrote a blog about this just a couple weeks ago, but I really can not get over the fact that in just a mere 15 days I will be graduating... it's starting to sink in.  Actually sinking in is sort of a pleasant way to put it, the term hitting me like a bag of bricks is probably more accurate a saying.

The reason for my sudden burst of nostalgia comes from the little breakdown I had at work the other day.  For the past four years I have worked at Town and Country Pet Boarding.  It is a dog boarding business in Rindge, but don't call it a kennel, we are a camp :o).  Our list of "clients" is pretty extensive, probably well over 300 dogs by now.  All of our business comes from NYC where my boss began as a dog walker (man oh man has she made it big!).  I have worked with some uber famous people's dogs, I don't really know if I am at liberty to say who, so I'll just give you the generic info: a directors dog, a voice overs for a very popular commercial series, and a very very well known female designer's (ladies if you knew who it was, you'd be jellyyyy!).

There are a number of dogs who have been frequent visitors of our "camp" that I have grown close bonds with.  This past week/weekend I had the pleasure (yes, pleasure) of working with one of my very favorite pups, a catahoula leopard  (it's an actual breed).  When I left my shift and gave him the obligatory pet goodbye it hit me...this may be the last time I ever see this pup, the last time I ever work with the dog who helped inspire me to get my own, Cash (named after the legendary Johnny Cash, and he's just as big a bad ass).  I actually cried, no shame, just pure emotions.  Ever since, I have had this eerie feeling that this is it...this is really goodbye, and there's nothing good about it.

It sounds like I am comparing you to the dogs I work with (which isn't all bad, I do love those dogs)... but that's not it.  It's just that the incident at work instilled in me the fear that these next few weeks are the last opportunity for me to experience you all.  I am eager to take advantage of every minute of it.  No matter how hard I laugh, how much fun I have, how many memories I make, or how many pictures I take... it wont console me.  But you better believe that it won't keep me from trying ;o).  The best thing I can think of to say is,

 I'm missing you already...
