Assistant Professor of Sports & Recreation Management

Location: Rindge, NH


The Division of Business Administration at Franklin Pierce University, the College at Rindge, NH, is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Sports and Recreation Management commencing the 2017-18 academic year.


The successful candidate is expected to join the Business Division faculty, conduct teaching and advising duties in the Sports and Recreation Program and in the Business Division, demonstrate a commitment to active learning, assess learning outcomes, and mentor students toward successful graduation. The successful candidate will provide vision and leadership focused both on-campus and with external constituencies. 


At the time of appointment, the candidate must hold a terminal degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Sports/Recreation Administration, Leisure Services, or a closely related field. The candidate will demonstrate evidence of effective college/university teaching experience. Candidates will also be able to show their ability to work effectively with a diverse student and faculty population. Evidence of outreach or relationship building with external constituents is required. As a faculty member, the candidate is required to show evidence of scholarship and all faculty are expected to engage in institutional service as well as maintain a program of scholarly/creative work. Evidence of professional experience in sports and recreation management, marketing and/or administration is preferred.
