Program Director - Master of Physician Assistant Studies

Location: Lebanon, NH

 

Franklin Pierce University is initiating a search for the next Program Director for their accredited Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program.  Individuals with strong leadership skills desiring to work collaboratively with faculty and administrators to propel the program upward and forward are encouraged to apply.  Professional interests inclusive of interprofessional education, innovation in pedagogy, and quality enhancement would align well with the program’s vision for the future. 

 

Developed in 2009, the program has been recognized as having the second largest percentage of its graduates entering rural clinical practice.  The program is located in West Lebanon, NH only minutes from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), Dartmouth College and the amenities of New Hampshire’s Upper Valley.  The program enjoys a long history of collaboration and interprofessional education with Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine including access to their anatomy lab, as well as the Patient Safety and Simulation Center at DHMC.  The MPAS Program is a key component of the FPU emphasis in health sciences including programs in physical therapy, nursing, and public health.

 

The successful candidate must be qualified according to the ARC-PA standards.  In addition the candidate must possess a graduate degree. Individuals should have significant clinical experience, as well as 3-5 years of teaching experience.  Evidence of administrative/managerial skills, particularly in academic settings, is preferred. 

 

The Program is poised for growth and recognition as a “preferred provider” of high quality PAs for the 21st Century.  We’re looking for the leader willing and able to take on the challenge!
