Title: Student Ambassador/Assistant Department: Admissions
Supervisor:  Melissa Conway Location: Clifford Coles Hall


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clerical work (Front Desk operations, answer phones, filing, data entry)

  • Assist all Admissions Staff Members with various projects

  • Errands and Interoffice Mail

  • Telecounseling

  • Assist with Fall and Spring Open House Programs and other special events as needed

  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications / Skills Required:

  • Responsible and Dependable Individual

  • Possess Strong Telephone Skills

  • Must be Prompt and Work Efficiently

  • Must have a Positive Attitude

  • Computer Literate

  • Cheerful Disposition, Energetic and Enthusiastic

  • Must be able to Act in a Professional Manner and Maintain Confidentiality

  • Ability to work Independently


Skills, Abilities and Knowledge that might be gained in this position:

  • Thorough knowledge of Franklin Pierce University

  • A basic understanding of the college admissions process

  • Development of communication and personal interaction skills

  • Will gain a more though knowledge of use of office equipment

  • Will learn how to develop and maintain a daily office schedule, including the process of scheduling campus visits.

Special Notes

  • Participation in Tour Guide and Student Assistant Training to be held at the start of each new semester is required.

  • Returning Students who exhibit a strong work ethic and exemplary leadership skills may be promoted to a student Manager position.
