Duties and Responsibilities:

Writer will be required to write 1-2 feature stories (min. 800 words) per month during the school year. Feature stories will cover a variety of topics, including human-interest stories, game recaps and Q&A's. Writer will interview all subjects for the story and write their own material.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills Required:

Prior writing experience required, including: newspaper reporting and feature writing. Interest in sports is also preferred. All candidates will be required to show work samples prior to hiring.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge that might be gained in this position:

Media relations/public relations skills. Feature writing samples that can be used with resumes when applying for jobs after graduation.
