Title: Student Transportation Manager Department: Transportation

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordination of the campus shuttle program which will include recruiting, training and scheduling student drivers.  Will need to contact student drivers to fill emergency/last minute driving requests.  May need to drive the shuttle or other University vehicles as needed.  Will need to answer questions from student drivers pertaining to vehicle or driver assignments.  Will also need to recruit qualified student drivers for academic field trips and other off campus transportation requests as well as on campus special events such as Open House and Commencement.

 

Minimum Qualifications / Skills Required:

 

Must have a valid driverís license and have a minimum of 3 years driving experience.  Will be required to take the FPU Defensive Driver training program and a road test with the shuttle bus.  A driverís license background check with the DMV is required.  Must be reliable, responsible and dependable and have excellent communication skills.  Must be available to contact student drivers for last minute changes during the week or on weekends. 

 

Special Notes:

This Job opening will primarily begin at the start of the 2017 fall semester, however there will be some hours available during the 2017 spring semester for training purposes.
