Franklin Pierce Special Announcement |
Network Issues for
Student Computers It would be to your benefit if you make sure your PC is clean before Saturday, April 2. You can help solve the virus problem on the network by taking a proactive approach and cleaning your PC and protecting it from viruses. Even if you already have anti-virus on your PC, we strongly recommend that you install AVG, as most virus programs expire 90 days after you purchase your PC, leaving you unprotected. We have provided access
to these files below so that you do not have to download them off the
internet. These will download to your PC in just a few seconds. These are the steps to
take: (Note: When you click on a link you will see a box that
asks if you want to run or save this file. Click Save and save
it to your desktop. After you have saved all the files, disconnect
your network cable. You may want to print this page first.) 2. Reboot your PC and then install Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows 2000 Service pack 4, depending on which operating system you have. 3. Once Windows Service Pack is installed, install one of the Anti-Spyware packages below and perform a system scan. Once it cleans your PC of spyware you may reboot and plug your machine back into the network.
