Hagerty President DATE: August 29, 2006 RE: University Transition Update The material which follows has been developed over the course of the summer to guide the transition of Franklin Pierce College to university-status. As you know, the Board of Trustees adopted a resolution in June of 2006 directing the College’s management to effect this change. There are three documents which have been designed to assist you in understanding the major milestones, timelines, and activities associated with our transition to that of a university. These documents, taken as a whole, provide a detailed plan of action which the institution will follow to assure the success of this most important of initiatives. I encourage you to review and familiarize yourself with these materials so that you might fully understand the scope and nature of the changes which will take place, and lend your support to this endeavor. As we move forward during the transition period, we will supplement this material with updates on our progress. Please note that there is a link for you to be able to ask questions and make comments. Please feel free to do so. I am certain that you join me in taking justifiable pride in our accomplishments of the past and the promise of a bright future as a university. |
